How it works
01
2 min
Open the assignment
Your instructor sets the persona and the hidden backstory, or writes the question bank you will be examined from.
02
15 min
Hold the call
A live voice conversation. They hedge, they change the subject, they make you work for it.

Get scored
Every dimension of your instructor’s rubric — each with the line of transcript that earned it.
Two kinds of assignment
Discovery interview
Practice or graded · attempts set by you
A customer who makes them work for it
You set the persona and a hidden backstory only good probing uncovers. The student has to earn the information — what the customer hedges on, what they volunteer, and what they only say when asked a second time.
Oral defense
One attempt · no retakes · timed by the platform
An examiner that every student meets alone
Each student is asked their own draw from your question bank, so async sections cannot trade answers. Roughly 30 seconds to think and a few minutes to answer per question, timed by the platform — starting the round consumes the single attempt. You then post one personalised follow-up question, answered within 48 hours.
For instructors
Assign it, watch where the cohort is weak, release grades when you are ready.
Every attempt is graded against your rubric before you see it. You review the draft, override anything you disagree with, and nothing reaches a student until you release it.
